1. Baga Beach
Baga Beach is one of the most spectacular and one amongst some famous beaches lies in North Goa. A huge volume of tourists from all over the world visit this beach destination annually. The Baga, tiny town is approx 30 km far from the capital city Panjim. The Baga beach offers a series of water sports containing the banana rides, dolphin watch, parasailing, water scooter ride etc to the visitors. This beach is busiest one and administration has tried to reduce the crowd of people as they have developed a new parking area for approx more than 800 vehicles.
2. Anjuna Beach
If you are searching a beach for a full fun filled holidays, Anjuna beach which is very famous for trance beach parties in all over the globe particularly in peak tourist season of Goa welcomes you. At the beach party, you come in contact with people from many parts of the world, which gives a pleasant feeling and to get a chance to understand each one as a traveller. Apart from the beachside activities at Anjuna, you can also have a great time in local flea market which is famous for clothes, electronic gadgets, fresh fruits & vegetables etc. Not only this, Anjuna town is also very famous for its ancient cathedral.
3. Candolim Beach
Candolim beach is another popular beach in Goa just 15 km far away from the capital city. it is amongst longest beaches in Goa, lies in the northern area. The surrounding environment of this beach in itself is very serene and quiet. In the year 2000, a ship named river queen was stuck at the sea coast and not able to get out. Thus It has become one of the popular tourist attraction of Candolim beach. The backdrop of this beach is covered by dunes of bushes and when its golden color sands combine with the background creates incredible beauty. This beach is also encroachment free from any commercial activity including resorts, however, you can find some good small hotels with nice amenities to stay.
4. Calangute Beach
Calangute beach is the largest beach in terms of area in North Goa. Apart from peak tourist season in summer, this beach is also visited by a high number of domestic and foreign tourist at the time of Christmas & New Year. One can enjoy a number of water based adventure and sports activities offered by Calangute beach such as surfing, parasailing, water scooter riding etc. Above mentioned Candolim beach is an expansion of Calangute beach and only 3 km away from this beach.
5. Vagator Beach
Vagator beach is one of the most popular beaches of North Goa due to its incredible view of the sunset from the rock top, particularly among Indian travelers. This beach attracts thousand of western explorers too and the reason is famous rave parties held here frequently. This beach has sensational red precipices looking beneath on the shoreline and two new water bounds inside a short distance of the ocean and thus Vagator beach foot is the lack of accommodation.
6. Sinquerim Beach
Sinquerim beach is just 13 km away from the Panjim. It is one of the main vacationer beaches of North Goa and also known as Aguada beach. The famous Aguada fort built by Portuguese in the 17th century is sited here and one can see its massive structure from the shore and similarly take an eagle eye view of the beach from the top of the fortress. It has also a lighthouse standing on the fort that is one of the major attraction for the tourists. The travelers can take long unwinding strolls along this lovely beach with its peaceful vibe. The shoreline is perfect and is viewed as a perfect place for beachside activity. Fort Aguada beach resort spreading in the area of over 80 acres is located here at Sinquerim beach which is owned by Tata Group.
7. Miramar Beach
Absolutely close to the capital city Panjim, Miramar is one of the most visited beaches of the state. This beach is a small beach in comparison to other beaches of North Goa however, it attracts a lot of tourists to this due to its scenic beauty and events which are regularly held at the beach. It has clear water and supposed to be safe for swimming and other adventure sports.
