On Friday, July 15th UNESCO has released a list of 9 new world heritage sites including ancient Nalanda University which comprises the archaeological ruins of a monastic and academic establishment from 3rd century B.C to the 13th century A.D
Nalanda is situated in state of Bihar (Eastern India). It is also known as Nalanda Mahavihara and very famous among tourists from all over the globe due to organized structure and first ever educational institution in world history.
Mr. Nitish Kumar, Bihar Chief Minister, said that from this acknowledgement by UNESCO, Bihar Tourism will definitely get benefited in the form of total tourist arrivals in state. He further said in a statement, this is moment of proud for all the state’s people.
