Uttrakhand Tourism is Developing Tehri Lake Zone as an Important Hill Station
The Uttarakhand Tourism Development Board (UTDB) arrangements to build up the Tehri Lake zone into an important hill station soon offering recreation, adventure and health tourism and target to pull 50,000 visitors every day. The zone is midway situated in the state and UTDB has affirmed that half of the region will stay under green spread.
Discussing the advancement at Tehri Lake territory, Shailesh Bagauli, Secretary Tourism and CEO, UTDB said, “We intend to develop the Tehri Lake range as a “World renowned hub” for recreation, adventure and wellbeing travellers. The area as of now has prepared base worth INR 60 crore (involving Academy for Adventure Sports, Youth Hostel, Floating Resort and Floating Marina) and a 125 km two-path street is being developed by Public PWD (Public Works Department). UTDB is putting forth with brilliant concession plots and anticipating support of private parties at this potential tourist point.”
